Angel Sharp was set up in 2002 by Hannah as a way of combining her experience and expertise in one media company.
Hannah's main focus is film producing and video journalism, but she has previously worked in the design department at Oxford University Press, as a photography assistant to Richard Burbridge in New York, a network engineer for the dotcom ADC in Menlo Park, and as director and producer of large-scale professional theatre productions.
With a BA in Film & TV Production from the University of Bergen, an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Oxford, and a diploma in Script Development from the NFTS, Maria brings a raft of directing, producing and scripting experience to Angel Sharp.
Fluent in English, Norwegian and Italian, she previously co-founded award-winning Smau Media, worked in production for TV2 Norway, and has acted as a script consultant on the prestigious screenwriting competition Thousand Films, and as a creative writer for the Google Assistant personality team.
Finance & Accounts (Freelance)
Working at Blueberry Business Support, Laura comes in weekly to manage the accounts and financial operations for Angel Sharp. She works for a wide range of clients, bringing extensive expertise and a solution-focused approach.
Laura was previously Finance Manager for a sports centre complex and is fully AAT qualified.
Producer Director (Freelance)
Daniel is a director, editor, designer, journalist, and scriptwriter, and was formerly Creative Director at Angel Sharp.
An experienced interviewer, having quizzed world leading figures in business, entertainment and politics, Daniel has also been nominated for high-profile awards for his acclaimed comedy writing and films.
He previously studied English Language & Literature at Oxford University and Art at Åsane Folkehogskole.
Head of Editorial
After studying film and television production at RMIT University Australia, Jonathan interned at SBS News before moving to the UK, where he worked as assistant director on a range of productions, such as 20th Century Fox's Gulliver's Travels, and BBC2's Henry IV.
He has helmed projects all across the globe, for charities, brands and academic organisations.
Jonathan produces, animates, and brings editing expertise, having taught Final Cut Pro and Premiere.
Alex is a producer director and DOP who has spent the last three years creating powerful character-driven content across TV documentary, news coverage and branded online shorts for the likes of Vice and the BBC.
Since completing her BA in Film from Southampton Solent, Alex’s freelance work has whisked her to remote and challenging natural environments all around the world, most recently filming multiple documentaries profiling extreme overland travel company The Adventurists.
A cinematographer and camera-operator, Adam has almost 20 years of filmmaking experience, training in tape-based media and linear edit systems before studying Communications at Lincoln University.
A former lecturer in photography, video production and media studies, Adam has managed the ELT video post-production workflow for Oxford University Press across international markets, and been the cinematographer on multiple award-winning short films and music videos.
Having studied English & Spanish at the University of Oxford, Frankie has been involved in co-ordinating Angel Sharp's projects both in the UK and internationally since joining – including filming for NGOs in the Moroccan mountains, and producing factual shorts for BBC Ideas in Norway.
Frankie is also a skilled scriptwriter and photographer, and an up-and-coming talent in live comedy production, having directed and produced successful professional shows locally and at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Producer Editor (Freelance)
As well as working with Angel Sharp as a producer & editor, Silas is a graduate student in the Social Science of the Internet at the University of Oxford.
After completing an undergraduate degree in Biology, Silas moved into freelance writing, directing and editing, and has made films for Channel 4, Greenpeace and the Royal Air Force, among others.
His work has been screened at BAFTA-recognised film festivals and internationally, and in 2018 Silas was selected for the BAFTA-Crew young talent scheme.
Producer Director (Freelance)
A graduate of the Media & Culture course at the University of the Arts London, Sam built on his experience in film production as an assistant director by setting up his own company, kus Visual, with whom he produced promos for a range of cutting-edge clients – from viral comedy to contemporary fashion.
As part of the directing duo Neon Kiss he has explored contemporary global stories in a string of resonant documentaries, and he now lends his self-producing experience and distinctive visual flair to Angel Sharp as a producer and director.
