MUSIC

Sue Clayton began composing and arranging music in 1992 when making the award-winning short film HEART SONGS: she composed all the lyrics, did the musical arrangement with Claude Dejardins from Montreal, and put together her own Cajun band.

Sue wrote the love theme for THE DISAPPEARANCE OF FINBAR and worked with Davey Spillane on composing the film's theme music. She was the musical director for all the tango performances, which she recorded in Helsinki with Pedro's Heavy Gentlemen.

The soundtraack CD is available on SNAPPER RECORDS and the DVD of the film, including the soundtrack, will be out in June/July 2002 by Planet. She has composed arranged and recorded over twenty songs in partnership with Mick Mahoney (who wrote The Ballad of Finbar Flynn), and Chris Ross in the USA.

The songs have been performed by various singers and bands on the Londonmusic scene, including Rosie Brown, Gets/z Loose, the Mick Mahoney Band, Little Big Mouth and Rebecca Hollweg.

The music is accoustic, with Irish, Cajun, New Country and world influence. Sue is currently working with the Mick Mahoney Band on an album of songs called So Much Love, and negotiating publishing with Bug Music in New York.
