Sue Clayton is a British feature film writer and director. She directed the widely-acclaimed cinema movie THE DISAPPEARANCE OF FINBAR with hot new star Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Bend it Like Beckham, Vanity Fair); THE LAST CROP starring Kerry Walker (The Piano) and Noah Taylor (Shine) and the British Academy nominated short HEART SONGS starring Tom McCamus for which she composed the music. She has also made a number of innovative documentaries, and continues to work as also a travel writer and composer. She was chosen from 600 new European directors to have her work showcased in New York and Hollywood (First Film Foundation/Panavision awards). Her rise to success was the subject of a TV documentary (Upstarts, Channel 4, August 1999.) THE DISAPPEARANCE OF FINBAR DVD (with lots of music, extras
and interviews with Sue and Johnny Rhys Meyers) is released on the VCI
Cinema Club label. |
